The Builder Assessment Review (BAR) is your first step towards obtaining this prestigious designation.
This comprehensive assessment will measure your expertise in the four key areas of the building industry: Building Technology, Business and Finance, Project Management, and Sales and Marketing. Your results will show you the areas where your knowledge is strongest, where it is weakest, and will determine the courses required for you to obtain your CGB.
Now for the first time, you have a chance to test out of those areas where your knowledge and experience is greatest. This will allow you to earn your CGB designation faster than ever before.

PREP: Your First Step to CGR - Thursday, 11/5/09 2-5 PM
The Professional Remodelor Experience Profile (PREP) is the required first step in the process of becoming a Certified Graduate Remodelor (CGR). It is a 3 hour, 150 multiple-choice question assessment that measures a candidate’s knowledge in five core areas of remodeling business management:
- Marketing and Advertising
- Business Management
- Estimating
- Contracts, Liability and Risk Management
- Project Management
Candidates do not pass or fail the PREP. Results determine the course of study for CGR candidates.
Registration deadline is 8 days prior to each class date. PAYMENT IS DUE WITH REGISTRATION. Please arrive on time for required paperwork.
Cancellation Policy: Cancellations must be received in writing by the HBAGK office a minimum of 8 days prior to the course date to process a refund. ALL cancellations are subject to a $50 processing fee. Registration cannot be transferred to other courses, dates or individuals.
