Project Management Education Series

The Project Management Education Series provides a strong foundation in the essential skills needed to effectively manage construction projects. Through a combination of classroom instruction and practical exercises, participants will gain valuable knowledge in Plan Reading, Estimating, and Budget Management. This series is ideal for individuals who are new to project management, as well as those looking to strengthen or refresh their existing skills.

Estimating

This introductory course explores the critical role of estimating within the construction process. Participants will learn about the different phases of estimating, the components of a detailed bid, and the various approaches used to prepare accurate and competitive estimates. The course includes hands-on exercises designed to help attendees apply key concepts, interpret bid documents, and understand how estimates influence project planning and execution.

Melissa Wentland brings extensive industry expertise and a passion for professional development to her role at Livingston Associates, where she leads project management education and training initiatives. With a strong background in construction consulting and leadership, Melissa combines real-world experience with practical instruction to help participants build foundational skills.
